Does your school need educational psychology support?

If you are looking for flexible Educational Psychology support in Kent and the surrounding areas, I can help.

I offer a wide range of Educational Psychology services without the need for a Service Level Agreement, and can usually begin working with you within a few weeks.

In an ideal world, all schools would have access to enough Educational Psychology support through their Local Authority.

In reality, this support is often limited, leaving schools needing more than is available.

Some schools make their own arrangements for regular Educational Psychology input, while others may not have the capacity to commit to an ongoing service.

I offer flexible Educational Psychology support to schools who want more than their Local Authority can offer, or support with a specific issue without committing to a Service Level Agreement.

Staff wellbeing

I have a special interest in supporting staff wellbeing. I am acutely aware of the high levels of stress and pressure many school professionals are currently facing, and how this can impact not only individual wellbeing but staff’s ability to support their students and the wider functioning of the school.

For staff who are stressed and overwhelmed, I offer short-term psychological coaching interventions to build psychological flexibility and help staff function effectively under pressure.

As part of my ethical business model, I am currently offering this at reduced cost.

  • I really appreciated our recent coaching session. It was a great opportunity to reflect on what I value most in my career, and your guidance helped me gain a lot of clarity. Thank you for creating such a supportive and insightful space for that reflection.

  • Helen listens with care. She guides without steering, she suggests frameworks for moving forward that can be useful for shifting the conversation towards targeted activity. Kind and considerate, never offers a judgement but mindfully offers pathways to think about. Great book and website recommendations.

  • Very helpful sessions to consider legacy and identity as I am in the twilight of a 4 decade career in education. The sessions helped me reflect on who I was and who I have become and what future me will look like as I transition towards retirement.

FAQs

  • I mostly prefer to work in person but some services work well online, especially if there is an existing relationship.

  • I can produce a written report to suit the specific situation. Mostly, I find a brief record is enough and avoids wasting time and money on an unnecessarily long report.

Please note I don’t offer a tribunal service.

  • I am happy to liaise with other professionals, including other Educational Psychologists.

  • This will depend of course, but I try to keep enough flexibility in my diary to be able to start new requests within a few weeks.
